Our Take

TX3 Funding is the 2025 rebrand of TopTier Trader, now backed by regulated broker TX3 Markets. Cheap entry, no EAs allowed on any platform, and a Trustpilot record split between fast payouts and post-rebrand complaints.

TX3 Funding Review 2026

Quick verdict: TX3 Funding is the September 2025 rebrand of TopTier Trader, now backed by regulated broker TX3 Markets. Its Instant Standard challenge is one of the cheapest funded routes in the industry at $65, but it bans EAs on every platform and its inherited Trustpilot record shows a real split between fast payouts and post-rebrand account breaches.

What Is TX3 Funding?

TX3 Funding is a forex prop trading firm that funds traders who pass a paid evaluation. TX3 Funding is not a broker. It states this directly in its own help center: it does not execute client trades, hold deposits, or give financial advice. It runs simulated challenge accounts and, once you pass, moves you to a funded account where you trade TX3's capital and keep a share of the profit.

TX3 Funding did not launch from scratch. It is the rebrand of TopTier Trader, announced on September 25, 2025. The same team runs it. Existing TopTier accounts and challenges carried over with no forced repurchase, and TX3 Funding is now backed by TX3 Markets, a regulated multi-jurisdictional broker, which is the structural change behind the name. The company's own site lists its legal entity as TX3 Funding - FZCO, a free zone company structure consistent with the Dubai headquarters reported at launch.

TX3 Funding sells forex challenges. A separate arm, TX3 Futures, runs futures challenges on its own domain. As of this check, TX3 Futures has purchasing disabled site-wide after its previous data feed partner, Project X, stopped working with prop firms, so this review covers the forex side only.

Challenge Types and Account Sizes

TX3 Funding runs five challenge types: 1 Phase, 2 Phase Flex, 2 Phase Pro, Instant Standard, and Instant Pro. Instant Standard skips a profit target entirely, you trade within the rules and request a payout once you're eligible, which is why it's the cheapest and fastest route to a funded account.

Profit share on Instant Standard is 80/20. Daily drawdown on the $100K tier is $3,000 (3%). TX3's checkout widget didn't display a daily drawdown figure for the other four tiers during this check, so don't assume it scales at the same 3% without confirming at checkout. Duration is unlimited on every tier.

1 Phase, 2 Phase Flex, 2 Phase Pro, and Instant Pro fees are not confirmed for this review. TX3's pricing widget only rendered Instant Standard data during this check. [verify: check the live checkout for current fees on the other four challenge types before publishing]

The 6% trailing drawdown on the 1 Phase Challenge is the rule that trips up the most traders, and the exact mechanic is worth confirming before you fund an account. TX3's own help center describes it as trailing drawdown that "locks after 6% growth," which reads as a floor that stops moving once you're up 6%. A Trustpilot complaint checked for this review describes it differently: the trader says the account can "only lose 6% from where you are at," which sounds like a floor that keeps trailing your peak with no lock at all. Those two descriptions don't obviously agree, and TX3 doesn't publish a worked example. Whichever version is correct, the trader in that complaint said a payout request dropped their balance below the drawdown floor and breached the account. [verify: get TX3 support or the full rules PDF to confirm whether the 6% floor locks permanently or keeps trailing, before quoting a specific dollar example]

Rules That Catch Traders Off Guard

Restricted countries

TX3 Funding restricts access to OFAC-sanctioned regions: Afghanistan, Belarus, Burma, Côte d'Ivoire, Cuba, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Iran, Iraq, Lebanon, Libya, Mali, North Korea, Russia, Somalia, Sudan, Syria, Venezuela, and Yemen, with Vietnam added effective March 3, 2026. This list is shorter than the one that circulated under the old TopTier Trader brand, which also flagged the UK and Germany. Those two countries are not on TX3's current list, so don't rely on a 2023 or 2024-dated TopTier list if you're checking eligibility today.

US traders, confirm before you buy. The United States is not on TX3 Funding's published restricted list as of March 2026. Several 2026 Trustpilot reviews describe TX3 pulling back from the US market, but TX3's own site doesn't state this. Message support before purchasing a challenge if you're trading from the US.

Consistency rule

The Pro Challenge caps any single day at 40% of your total funded profit. The 1 Phase Challenge caps it at 50%. Both only apply once you're funded, not during the evaluation. One outsized news-trading win can leave you unable to withdraw your other profit until you've built up more trading days around it.

Challenge fee refund

TX3 Funding refunds the full challenge fee, but not until your third payout from the funded account, and it's not automatic, you have to request it. Two payouts in and you're not eligible yet. This makes the refund a long-term reward for consistency, not a safety net during the evaluation.

Platforms and EA Policy

TX3 Funding runs on three platforms: MatchTrader, MT5, and A-Trader. As of a March 10, 2026 policy update, TX3 Funding does not support Expert Advisors or any automated trading system on any of the three. You can't connect a bot, and you can't run an API into your account. Every order has to go in manually. If your edge is a coded strategy, TX3 Funding is a dead end regardless of which challenge type you pick. Traders who want algo support on MT5 elsewhere can check our guide to the best MT5 prop firms.

Payouts and Profit Split

TX3 Funding pays through Wise, which covers around 15 local payout methods, and through crypto. The base profit split is 80% on Flex, Pro, and Instant Standard/Pro. The 1 Phase Challenge starts you at 85%. Both the Pro and 1 Phase challenges can reach 90% with a paid add-on.

Minimum payout is 2% of your starting balance on Flex and Pro. On the 1 Phase Challenge it's a flat $100, not a percentage. On Instant Standard, it's 1% of the account size, which works out to as little as $75 on the $7.5K tier. Pro Challenge payouts are on-demand. Flex pays out 10 days after your first trade, then every 7 days. 1 Phase pays 3 days after your first trade, then every 3 days.

Trustpilot reviews checked for this review include traders reporting payouts of $8,388.79 in USDT processed within 24 hours, and a documented case where TX3 issued a full refund three days after a trader flagged they couldn't trade on MatchTrader. There's also a real pattern of complaints about accounts breached for inactivity despite being net profitable, and a smaller number describing payout delays traders attribute to TX3 "moving away from the US." Both patterns show up often enough to be worth knowing before you fund an account, not just an outlier review or two.

Pros and Cons

Pros

  • TopTier Trader accounts and challenges carried over through the rebrand with no forced repurchase
  • Backed by TX3 Markets, a regulated broker, rather than running as a standalone unregulated shell
  • $65 entry price on the Instant Standard $7.5K account, with no profit target required before you're funded
  • Full challenge fee refund is on the table once you hit your third payout
  • Payouts run through Wise, covering around 15 local payment methods, plus crypto

Cons

  • No EAs or automated trading on any of the three platforms, MatchTrader, MT5, or A-Trader
  • 1 Phase Challenge's 6% trailing drawdown locks permanently once you're up 6%, and a payout that drops you below that locked floor breaches the account
  • Trustpilot shows a real minority of traders losing accounts to inactivity breaches and reporting payout slowdowns right after the TopTier-to-TX3 migration
  • Refund isn't automatic and doesn't arrive until your third payout, so it isn't a safety net during the evaluation
  • US trader eligibility is unclear. Not on the restricted list, but not confirmed either

Best For / Avoid If

Best forTraders who want the cheapest possible route to a funded account and don't need EAs or algo tools to trade.
Avoid ifYou run an EA or copy-trading setup, or you'd rather back a firm with a long payout record instead of one that's a year into a rebrand.

Is TX3 Funding Legit?

TX3 Funding is legit in the sense that matters most: it pays traders who pass and follow the rules, and it kept operating and honoring accounts straight through a full corporate rebrand. Its Trustpilot profile, merged with the old TopTier Trader profile, carries roughly 4,300 reviews with a score that has moved between 3.3 and 3.8 out of 5 depending on when you check. TX3 replies to close to every negative review and has publicly corrected specific complaints, including one case where a trader accused TX3 of stripping winning trades while leaving losses in place. TX3's response confirmed profit adjustments only happen when a trade breaks a specific rule, such as a lot-size limit or a news-trading restriction, and only the affected trade gets removed.

The complaints worth weighing are about account breaches for inactivity on accounts that were net profitable, and a run of reviews from mid-2026 describing frozen payouts that traders link to TX3 exiting the US market. Neither claim is confirmed on TX3's own site. TX3 Funding is not a broker or financial advisor by its own admission, and prop firms in general don't need a financial license to run an evaluation business, so the absence of a regulator badge on TX3 Funding itself isn't a red flag on its own.

Final Verdict

TX3 Funding earns a 6.9/10. It survived a full rebrand without dropping its trader base, it's backed by a regulated broker, and its Instant Standard challenge is genuinely one of the cheapest funded routes available at $65. The EA ban rules it out for algo traders outright, and the 6% trailing drawdown lock on the 1 Phase Challenge deserves real attention before you pick a challenge type. Manual traders comfortable reading the fine print on drawdown rules will find a functional, low-cost firm here. Traders who want a spotless payout record or algo support should look elsewhere.

FAQs

Is TX3 Funding the same company as TopTier Trader?

Yes. TopTier Trader rebranded to TX3 Funding on September 25, 2025. The same team runs it, existing accounts and challenges carried over without a forced repurchase, and TX3 Funding is now backed by TX3 Markets, a regulated multi-jurisdictional broker.

Is TX3 Funding legit?

TX3 Funding operates as an evaluation firm, not a broker, and states this directly in its own help center. Its Trustpilot profile carries roughly 4,300 reviews inherited from TopTier Trader with a score that has moved between 3.3 and 3.8 out of 5 over the past year. Traders report real payouts processed within 24 hours alongside a smaller set of complaints about account breaches after the rebrand.

Does TX3 Funding allow Expert Advisors or algo trading?

No. TX3 Funding banned Expert Advisors and automated trading systems on all three of its platforms, MatchTrader, MT5, and A-Trader, in a policy update dated March 10, 2026. Every trade must be placed manually.

What is TX3 Funding's profit split?

The base split is 80% on Flex, Pro, and Instant Standard/Pro. The 1 Phase Challenge starts higher at 85%. Both the Pro Challenge and the 1 Phase Challenge can reach 90% with a paid add-on.

How does the TX3 Funding challenge fee refund work?

TX3 Funding refunds the challenge fee in full, but only alongside your third payout from the funded account. It is not automatic. You have to reach payout three before the refund is issued.

Does TX3 Funding accept traders from the United States?

The United States is not on TX3 Funding's published restricted-country list as of March 2026. Several 2026 trader reviews describe TX3 pulling back from the US market, but this is not stated on TX3's own site. Confirm current US eligibility with TX3 support before buying a challenge.

How do TX3 Funding payouts work?

TX3 Funding pays through Wise, which covers around 15 local payout methods, and through crypto. Minimum payout is 2% of the starting balance on Flex and Pro, a flat $100 on the 1 Phase Challenge, and as low as 1% on Instant Standard accounts, with the exact dollar floor scaling by account size.
