Plutus Trade Base Review 2026: Rules, Fees, Payouts & Split

Quick verdict: Plutus Trade Base is a Cyprus-based prop firm running five plans from a €29 two-step challenge to a $500,000 Adventure account for €59. The plan to know is Freedom: a 5% target, no daily loss limit, no time limit, and payouts auto-approved and paid in under 24 hours from your first funded day. Plutus Trade Base scores 7.0 out of 10 on FundedTrading, held back by a paid add-on you need for overnight holds and a profit split that reaches the advertised 95% only on some plans. What Is Plutus Trade Base?

Plutus Trade Base, which brands itself as PTB, is a proprietary trading firm headquartered in Limassol, Cyprus. Plutus Trade Base funds traders through simulated evaluations. You pay a one-time fee, reach a profit target without breaching a drawdown rule, then trade a simulated funded account and keep up to 95% of the profit as a performance reward. Plutus Trade Base has operated since 2024 and states on its own site that it has funded more than 50,000 traders and paid into more than 140 countries.

Plutus Trade Base runs through two registered companies. Triple Edge Group LTD (Cyprus, Company No. HE465348) runs the evaluation business and operates TradeLocker, cTrader, Match Trader, DXtrade and TradingView. PTB Plutus TradeBase LTD (Saint Lucia, Reg. No. 2025-00638) owns the brand and operates MetaTrader 5 only. Both entities, both registration numbers and both registered addresses appear in the legal disclaimer at the foot of every Plutus Trade Base page.

Plutus Trade Base describes its own product as a simulated proprietary-trading evaluation for educational purposes. No live capital changes hands, you never deposit trading funds, and Plutus Trade Base never places a real-market order on your behalf. Payouts are performance rewards funded by Plutus Trade Base itself and calculated from simulated account performance. That is the standard model across the challenge-based prop firm industry. New to the format? Start with the prop firm glossary.

Plans, Account Sizes and Prices

Plutus Trade Base sells five plans. Freedom is the flagship one-step challenge and the simplest rulebook. Lightning is a one-step challenge with a split payment, so the bulk of the cost lands only after you pass. Adventure is a single $500,000 one-step account. 2 Step Challenge is the classic two-phase format and runs up to $200,000. Instant skips the evaluation and funds you immediately.

Prices below are the live Plutus Trade Base checkout prices as of August 11, 2026, before the FT40 discount.

Plutus Trade Base charges in euros while sizing accounts in US dollars, so your card issuer may add its own conversion fee on top of the listed price. Plutus Trade Base also runs frequent promotions, so the figure you see may already be discounted before you apply a code.

Lightning is the only plan with an activation fee On Lightning you pay a small purchase fee up front and the activation fee only after you pass. Fail the Lightning challenge and you never pay the activation fee at all, so a failed attempt costs only the purchase fee, which runs €29 to €59 depending on account size. Freedom, Adventure, Instant and the 2 Step Challenge are a single payment with nothing due later.

Drawdown and Risk Rules, Plan by Plan

Every Plutus Trade Base plan uses a static or a trailing drawdown. Static is measured from your fixed starting balance and never moves. Trailing follows your account's highest point and rises as your balance grows, so a winning streak raises the floor you must stay above rather than giving you room underneath it. Breaching either one is a hard breach and ends the account immediately.

Freedom

Challenge5% profit target, 5% static max loss, profit must come from at least 7 separate trading days, no daily loss limit, no time limit.
FundedNo profit target, 4% trailing drawdown, 3% buffer, 95% split, payouts auto-approved and paid in under 24 hours.

Freedom is the plan Plutus Trade Base documents most clearly and the one worth buying. No daily loss limit at either stage is unusual among prop firms, and no minimum trading days once funded means nothing forces you to trade a setup you do not like. The 7-day rule on the challenge is not consecutive: a profitable Monday and a profitable Wednesday both count, and you can spread those seven days across as many weeks as you want.

The buffer works like this. On a $20,000 account you need $600 of profit, which is 3%, before anything above that line becomes withdrawable. Below the buffer the profit exists on paper and nothing is cashable. Once you cross it, withdrawals do not shrink the buffer, so the account keeps trading normally after a payout.

The mechanic most Plutus Trade Base reviews skip is the Skill Score. Plutus Trade Base recalculates it on every trade and resets it after each payout, and it caps the maximum you can withdraw in a single payout based on how evenly your profit is spread across trades. Plutus Trade Base is clear that the Skill Score does not block approval, only the amount. In practice a payout can auto-approve exactly as advertised and release a fraction of the balance sitting in the account, because most of the profit came from two outsized trades rather than a spread of smaller ones. Trade for consistency and the Skill Score stops mattering.

Lightning

Challenge3% profit target, 6% static drawdown, no minimum trading days, no time limit, leverage to 100x.
Funded4% static drawdown, 2% daily loss limit, 2% max risk per trade, 40% Best Day rule, 7 profitable days before the first payout.

The 2% maximum risk per trade is the rule worth reading twice. Risking more than 2% of the funded balance on a single trade is a soft breach the first time, a warning that leaves the account open, and a hard breach the second time, which ends the account outright. One oversized position on a volatile print can close a Lightning funded account that never came near the 4% drawdown.

The 40% Best Day rule applies at payout, not during the challenge. No single trading day may account for more than 40% of your total profit when you request a withdrawal, so one huge day early on can lock up the payout until the rest of the account catches up. Lightning's default profit split starts at 70% and reaches the headline 95% only with the paid Profit-Split add-on, so budget for the add-on if the split is why you picked Lightning.

Get the 2% rule defined in writing before you trade Lightning Plutus Trade Base publishes the Lightning funded rule as a 2% maximum risk per trade without stating whether that 2% is measured against your stop-loss risk or against the margin your position uses. Those two readings produce very different maximum position sizes on the same account. Email support@plutustradebase.com and get the measurement confirmed against your account number before your first funded trade, and keep the reply.

2 Step Challenge

StageProfit targetDaily drawdownMax drawdownMin trading days
Phase 18%5%10% trailing4
Phase 26%5%10% trailing4
FundedNone5% daily loss limit10% trailingWithdrawals every 14 days

Neither phase has a time limit, leverage runs to 100x on both, and scaling is available once funded. At $200,000 the 2 Step Challenge matches Instant for the largest account Plutus Trade Base offers outside Adventure, and its 10% trailing drawdown is the most room any Plutus Trade Base challenge gives you.

Adventure

Challenge8% profit target, minimum 30 trading days inside a time limit, 5% trailing max drawdown, 5% stable daily average, news trading and DCA allowed, copy trading banned.
Funded$10,000 static drawdown, minimum 5 trading days, no daily loss limit, withdraw anytime, 95% split, news trading and DCA allowed.

At €59, Adventure is the cheapest route to a half-million-dollar account of any firm in the FundedTrading directory. The 30-day minimum matters more than the price. You must trade on at least 30 separate days to pass, so Adventure is a month-long commitment even if you hit the 8% target in the first week. Once funded the drawdown switches from 5% trailing to a $10,000 static floor, which on a $500,000 account is 2% of the balance and the tightest funded drawdown in the Plutus Trade Base lineup.

Adventure also carries a 5% stable daily average, which caps how much of your total result any single trading day can produce. Combined with the 30-day minimum, that pushes Adventure towards a steady grind rather than a few large wins. News trading and DCA are both allowed on Adventure, and copy trading is banned.

Adventure is the only Plutus Trade Base challenge with a time limit. Every other plan lets you take as long as you need. You must fit 30 trading days inside that window, so check the exact deadline on your dashboard the day the account opens. Plutus Trade Base is clear that "no daily loss limit" on Adventure does not mean the account is unrestricted: the drawdown and the trading rules still apply, and a breach ends the account the same way it would anywhere else.

Instant

No evaluation phase. You are funded from the moment you pay. The trade-off is the widest drawdown at 10% trailing plus the tightest rulebook Plutus Trade Base offers: no news trading, no EAs or bots, no high-frequency trading and no holding positions over the weekend. Any of those ends the account. Leverage caps at 50x, half of what Lightning and Freedom allow, and Plutus Trade Base applies a 3% daily drawdown and a 20% Best Day rule on top. The first payout request opens after 7 trading days and processes within 24 to 48 hours, then payout requests run every 14 calendar days after that.

Rules that apply to every plan

Plutus Trade Base bans hedging on every plan, on one account or across your accounts. Plutus Trade Base bans automated high-frequency trading through an EA or bot everywhere, though normal manual higher-frequency trading is allowed. Plutus Trade Base also bans coordinated group trading, price-feed exploitation and VPN use to bypass country restrictions. Each is a hard breach that ends the account.

Plutus Trade Base offers a scale-up on request. Reach double your initial profit target, for example 12% against a 6% target, while staying fully compliant for seven consecutive days, and Plutus Trade Base will raise your balance with new drawdown and targets. Instant accounts are excluded unless Plutus Trade Base agrees in writing.

Two account rules that cost traders money Plutus Trade Base may close any account with no trading activity for 30 consecutive days, including a challenge you paid for and have not started. Separately, two or more funded-account breaches trigger a 60-day stabilisation period that caps withdrawals at $3,000 regardless of your actual balance. The cap limits withdrawal size only, not your ability to keep trading, and it applies across all five plans under the Plutus Trade Base Terms.

Add-Ons You May Need to Buy

Plutus Trade Base sells three paid add-ons at checkout, and two of them change rules most traders assume are included. Buy them with the account, because they are selected at checkout rather than added later.

Add-onPlansWhat it changes
Overnight holdFreedomLets you hold positions through sessions and over weekends
Profit-SplitLightningRaises the Lightning split to 95%
Withdraw-AnytimeLightning, FreedomRemoves the standard 14-day gap between payouts
Swing traders, read this before you buy Plutus Trade Base closes Freedom positions at the end of the daily session by default. Holding overnight or over a weekend requires the paid overnight-hold add-on, selected at checkout. If your strategy runs longer than a session, budget for the add-on or the plan will not work for you. The Instant plan bans weekend holding outright with no add-on available.

Platforms and Instruments

Plutus Trade Base supports six platforms: TradeLocker, cTrader, Match Trader, DXtrade and TradingView, all operated by Triple Edge Group LTD, plus MetaTrader 5, operated separately by PTB Plutus TradeBase LTD in Saint Lucia. You choose your platform at checkout, and platform choice does not change the rules of the plan. Six platforms is one of the widest lineups in the market and it puts Plutus Trade Base on our best MT5 prop firms shortlist. Freedom is the one exception, offering MetaTrader 5 or TradeLocker only.

MetaTrader 5 is not available to traders in the United States, Canada, Hong Kong, Belgium, Brazil, Japan, Israel or Spain. Traders in those eight countries use TradeLocker, which also carries stock CFDs.

Tradable instruments cover forex majors and minors, indices including NAS100, SPX500, GER40, US30, UK100 and JP225, commodities including gold, silver, US oil and UK oil, major crypto CFDs including BTC and ETH, and stocks on TradeLocker. Plutus Trade Base allows EAs for ordinary non-HFT strategies on Lightning, Freedom and Adventure, and bans them on Instant.

Payouts and Profit Split

Plutus Trade Base pays through Rise, a bank transfer in local currency covering more than 140 countries and 17 currencies with a provider fee up to 2.75%, or in USDT on the TRC-20 network, which arrives in minutes at network-fee cost. Other providers charge up to 4%. The minimum withdrawal is $100 on both rails and on every plan. KYC is completed once before your first payout, not on every withdrawal.

Payout timing runs by plan. Freedom pays daily with automatic approval and no manual review queue, ordinarily inside 24 hours. Instant pays within 24 to 48 hours, with the first request opening after 7 trading days and later requests every 14 calendar days. Adventure allows withdrawal anytime once funded. Lightning runs on a 14-day cycle unless you add the Withdraw-Anytime add-on, which covers Lightning and Freedom only. The 2 Step Challenge runs on a 14-day cycle with no add-on available.

Plutus Trade Base refunds the fee you paid to unlock the funded account after your third payout, which is the activation fee on Lightning and the one-time entry fee on Freedom, Adventure and Instant. That is one rebate per account and it is a genuinely trader-friendly term most firms at this price do not offer.

Plutus Trade Base publishes a rolling list of Freedom payouts from the previous seven days on its own site, showing trader name, country, account size, approval time and amount. The week we checked showed $501,938 released to 146 Freedom traders, with approval times clustered between one and three hours and individual payouts running from $123 to $9,941.

Payouts are performance-based, not automatic Plutus Trade Base states in its Terms that Plutus Trade Base may decline or reduce a payout resulting from high-risk or gambling-style trading, such as all-in or heavily over-leveraged positions. That sits on top of the drawdown and daily loss rules rather than inside them. Plutus Trade Base accepts a written appeal within 7 days of any decision and answers within 30 days. Size positions normally and this clause never comes up.

Pros and Cons

Pros

  • Freedom has no daily loss limit at either stage and pays daily, auto-approved in under 24 hours
  • A $500,000 Adventure account costs €59, the cheapest half-million account in the FundedTrading directory
  • Fee rebate after the third payout on Lightning, Freedom, Adventure and Instant, one per account
  • Six platforms including MT5, cTrader and TradeLocker, with the eight MT5-restricted countries named upfront
  • Live seven-day payout log with named traders, approval times and amounts, published on the firm's own site
  • Lightning charges the activation fee only after you pass, so a failed attempt costs only the €29 to €59 purchase fee
  • No time limit on the Freedom, Lightning or 2 Step challenges

Cons

  • Overnight and weekend holding on Freedom needs a paid add-on, which rules the plan out for swing traders who skip it
  • Lightning pays 70% by default, so reaching the advertised 95% means buying the Profit-Split add-on
  • The Lightning 2% risk per trade rule does not state whether it measures stop-loss risk or margin used
  • The Freedom Skill Score can shrink a withdrawal well below the account balance without blocking the payout
  • Adventure demands 30 separate trading days, so the cheap $500K account is a month-long commitment
  • Adventure's funded drawdown is a $10,000 static floor, just 2% of a $500,000 balance
  • Accounts with no activity for 30 consecutive days can be closed, including challenges you paid for and never started
  • Instant bans news trading, EAs, HFT and weekend holds, which is the tightest rulebook on the list

Best For and Avoid If

Best for

Intraday traders who want no daily loss limit and same-day payouts should take Freedom, which is the strongest plan Plutus Trade Base offers on both rules and documentation. Traders on a tight budget should take Lightning, where a failed attempt costs €29 because the activation fee lands only after you pass. Experienced traders who can commit 30 trading days should look at Adventure for the $500,000 account at €59. Not sure which fits? Run the challenge finder.

Avoid if

Avoid Freedom if you swing trade and will not pay for the overnight-hold add-on, because positions close at the end of the daily session by default. Avoid Lightning if the profit split is your main reason for choosing a firm, since the default sits below 95% and the add-on costs extra. Avoid Instant if you trade news or run an EA, because Instant bans both outright.

Is Plutus Trade Base Legit?

Plutus Trade Base is a legitimate, operating prop firm. Plutus Trade Base runs through two registered companies whose names, registration numbers and registered addresses are published on its own site, publishes full Terms and Conditions, runs KYC before payouts, pays through Rise and USDT, and publishes a rolling seven-day payout log with named traders and approval times. Plutus Trade Base holds an "Excellent" rating on Trustpilot across more than 1,400 reviews as of August 2026, plus 4.9 stars from 56 Feefo reviews.

Prop firms do not need a financial licence, so the absence of one is not a red flag here. What is worth knowing is that Plutus Trade Base describes itself as "Cyprus-licensed" in its site footer while the only Cyprus identifier it publishes is Triple Edge Group LTD's company number HE465348, which is a Registrar of Companies registration rather than a financial services licence. Read that line as "registered in Cyprus," because that is what the number supports.

The FundedTrading score sits at 7.0 out of 10 under our review methodology. Plutus Trade Base earns marks for payout speed, payout evidence and the Freedom rulebook. Plutus Trade Base loses marks for add-ons that gate rules most traders expect to be included and for figures that vary between its pricing pages, which makes the checkout screen the only price you should trust.

Plutus Trade Base does not serve residents of Cuba, Syria, Iran, Lebanon, Iraq, Yemen, North Korea, Russia, Ukraine, Belarus or Myanmar. Plutus Trade Base accepts US traders on TradeLocker, TradingView, Match Trader and DXtrade.

Final Verdict

Plutus Trade Base scores 7.0 out of 10. Buy Freedom, skip the rest unless you have a specific reason. Freedom gives you a 5% target, no daily loss limit, no time limit, a 4% trailing drawdown once funded and payouts auto-approved and paid in under 24 hours from your first funded day, which is the fastest payout mechanic at this price. Add the overnight-hold add-on if you hold positions past the session close, because Freedom closes them by default. Lightning is the cheapest way to test the firm at €29 for a failed attempt, and Adventure gets you a $500,000 account for €59 if you can commit 30 trading days. Confirm your price and split on the checkout screen rather than the plan page, and apply code FT40 before you pay.

How do I use the Plutus Trade Base coupon code?

Pick your plan and account size on the Plutus Trade Base site, continue to checkout, and enter FT40 in the promo code field. Confirm the total drops by 40% before you pay. Can I hold trades overnight or over the weekend at Plutus Trade Base?

Plutus Trade Base closes Freedom positions at the end of the daily session by default. Swing traders add the paid overnight-hold add-on at checkout to hold through sessions and over weekends. The Instant plan bans weekend holding outright with no add-on available. Buy the add-on at checkout if you swing trade, because it cannot be added after the account is live.

What is the Skill Score on the Plutus Trade Base Freedom plan?

The Skill Score is a Plutus Trade Base measure that applies only to Freedom funded accounts. The Skill Score reflects how evenly profit is spread across trades, recalculates on every trade and resets after each payout. The Skill Score sets the maximum amount withdrawable in a single payout. It does not affect whether Plutus Trade Base approves the payout, only how much of the balance is released.

Can US traders use Plutus Trade Base?

Plutus Trade Base accepts US traders on TradeLocker, TradingView, Match Trader and DXtrade. MetaTrader 5 is not available to US persons because of jurisdictional restrictions on the entity that operates it. Traders in Canada, Hong Kong, Belgium, Brazil, Japan, Israel and Spain also use TradeLocker instead of MetaTrader 5.

How do Plutus Trade Base payouts work?

Plutus Trade Base pays through Rise as a bank transfer in local currency across more than 140 countries and 17 currencies with a provider fee up to 2.75%, or in USDT on the TRC-20 network, which arrives in minutes. The minimum withdrawal is $100 on every Plutus Trade Base plan. KYC is completed once before the first payout. Freedom pays daily with automatic approval, Instant pays on demand in 24 to 48 hours, and other plans run on a 14-day cycle unless the trader buys the Withdraw-Anytime add-on.

Does Plutus Trade Base refund the challenge fee?

Plutus Trade Base refunds the fee paid to obtain the funded account after the third payout, one rebate per account. On Lightning that is the activation fee, and on Freedom, Adventure and Instant it is the one-time entry fee. Separately, Plutus Trade Base refunds an unused purchase if the trader has not logged into or activated the account within 14 days of buying it.

What is the 2% risk per trade rule on Plutus Trade Base Lightning?

Plutus Trade Base applies a 2% maximum risk per trade on Lightning funded accounts. Breaching it once is a soft breach that leaves the account open with a warning, and breaching it a second time ends the account. Plutus Trade Base does not state whether the 2% is measured against your stop-loss risk or against the margin your position uses, so confirm the measurement with Plutus Trade Base support against your account number before your first funded trade.

Does Plutus Trade Base close inactive accounts?

Plutus Trade Base may deactivate and close any account with no trading activity for 30 consecutive days, including a paid challenge account that has not yet been traded. Funded accounts in regular use are not affected. Buying a new plan is the only route back after closure.
