Our Take

FundingPips gives you more choice than most budget-friendly firms — three platforms, four evaluation paths, and a Trustpilot record most competitors can't touch. The trade-off shows up after you're funded: tight payout gates on Zero and Master-stage restrictions on weekend holding trip up traders who don't read the fine print first.

FundingPips Review 2026: Rules, Zero Account and Payouts

This FundingPips review covers the rules for all five FundingPips models as of September 2026, including the Zero account, the Striking System and the new news calendar. It is written for traders choosing a model before they pay.

Quick verdict: FundingPips suits traders who want a cheap entry, five models to choose from, and MT5, cTrader or Match-Trader. It is a poor fit for traders who hold over weekends, trade around news once funded, or let one position run deep into loss. FundingPips changed its funded-stage rules several times between June and September 2026, and most reviews still quote the old ones.

What changed at FundingPips in 2026

FundingPips changed the rules that decide payouts at least five times between June and September 2026. If a review still says 1% risk per trade, Forex Factory news, or a 10% target on 2 Step Standard, it is out of date.

The weekend rule is older but still live. Since January 29, 2026, FundingPips closes open trades before the weekend on every Master Account.

What FundingPips is

FundingPips is a forex and CFD prop firm that sells evaluations and instant Master Accounts. All FundingPips accounts are demo accounts in a simulated environment. No trades reach live markets, and rewards are paid by the firm based on simulated results.

FundingPips launched in 2022 and is led by CEO Khaled Ayesh. The simulated trading service is run by FundingPips Corp, registered in the Comoros Union (company HY01223081). The registered office is in the IFZA Business Park, Dubai. An admin entity, FundingPips Services Ltd, is registered in Cyprus (HE 450941). FundingPips does not take traders from countries on the FATF and EU/UN sanctions lists, Vietnam or the UAE.

FundingPips is not an A-book prop firm. Because every account is simulated, there is no broker routing your trades to a liquidity provider. Treat the evaluation fee as a service fee, which is how FundingPips describes it.

FundingPips rules by model

FundingPips runs four evaluation models plus Zero. Every evaluation model uses a static max loss that never moves and has no time limit. Zero is the only model with a trailing drawdown.

How the FundingPips daily loss limit is calculated

The FundingPips daily loss limit is measured from the higher of your opening balance or opening equity, and it resets at 00:00 platform time (UTC+3). If you start the day on a $100K 2 Step Standard account with $2,000 of open profit, the 5% limit is set from $102,000. Giving that open profit back uses $2,000 of your $5,100 allowance before you close a single losing trade.

The FundingPips Striking System

The Striking System gives a warning when one trade idea's floating loss reaches 1% or 1.2% of the account. The first warning deducts that idea's profit. The second halves your split, the third drops it to 20%, and the fourth closes the account. Strikes never reset, and trades are not closed for you. On a $100K 2 Step Standard Master Account, a EURUSD position that dips $1,200 into the red earns a strike even if it closes green. Traders who average down collect strikes fastest, because every same-direction position on a pair counts as one idea.

Risk Per Trade Idea

Risk Per Trade Idea is a hard breach on 2 Step Flex and Zero Master Accounts. On a $50K 2 Step Flex Master Account the cap is 2%, or $1,000. Three EURUSD buys losing $400, $350 and $250 add up to $1,000 and close the account. A new trade in the same direction within 10 minutes of closing a loss joins the same idea, and a winning trade does not offset a losing one. The full examples are on the FundingPips Risk Per Trade Idea page.

Profit Concentration Policy

If one trade idea makes more than 60% of a phase target, you still pass, but every reward on the Master Account then needs 4 days that each close at least 0.5% up. On a $25K 2 Step Standard, the Phase 1 target is $2,000, so any idea above $1,200 triggers it. A trader who passes on one clean news move then has to post 4 separate winning days before every payout, for the life of the account.

News and speeches on Master Accounts

Evaluations have no news restriction, though deliberately trading news is banned at every stage. On Master Accounts, FundingPips deducts profit from trades opened or closed from 5 minutes before to 5 minutes after high-impact news, and from 10 minutes before a high-impact speech to 10 minutes after it ends. Trades opened 5 hours or more before the event are exempt. Closing part of an order inside the window flags the whole order. FundingPips now uses the Economic Calendar on its own dashboard, not Forex Factory, so check that calendar every day.

Weekend holding and inactivity

Weekend holds are allowed in evaluations. On every evaluation-model Master Account, FundingPips closes open trades before the weekend. It is not a breach, but that day does not count as a trading day, which slows cycles that need profitable days. Separately, you must fully close at least one trade in every 30-day window. An open position does not stop the inactivity clock.

Master onboarding takes time After passing, FundingPips runs KYC, a Responsible Trading review of up to 2 working days, a Customer Agreement and a further 2 working days of setup. Plan for roughly a week between passing and trading the Master Account.

FundingPips Zero account rules (September 2026)

FundingPips Zero is an instant Master Account with no evaluation, a 95% bi-weekly split and sizes from $5K to $200K. It has the strictest rules FundingPips sells. In 2026, news trading and weekend holds on Zero became hard breaches that close the account.

Zero ruleLimitWhat it means on a $100K account
Daily loss3%, hard breachAbout $3,000, measured from the higher of opening balance or equity
Max trailing loss5%, hard breachPeak of $102K puts the floor at $97K. At $105K the floor locks at $100K for good
Max open risk1%, hard breachAll open positions together cannot float $1,000 red
Risk Per Trade Idea2% at $50K+, 3% below$2,000 per idea, realized and floating
NewsHard breachNo opening, closing or holding from 10 minutes before to 10 minutes after high-impact news or speeches
WeekendHard breachEvery position must close before Friday's market close
Profitable days7 per rolling 30 days7 days that each close at least $250 up
Consistency score15%, soft breachBest day cannot exceed 15% of total profit. Payout blocked until it does
Safety cushionFirst 3% of profitThe first $3,000 of profit cannot be withdrawn
Loss vs winBiggest loss not above biggest winOne oversized losing trade blocks the payout

The rule that bites first on Zero is max open risk, not Risk Per Trade Idea. On a $100K Zero account, your whole book can float only $1,000 red at once, half the $2,000 per-idea cap. Two positions running $500 against you at the same time is already a breach.

The payout maths is slow by design. On a $10K Zero, FundingPips' own example needs $3,500 of profit spread so evenly that the best day is under $525. The first $300 of profit stays in the account as the cushion. Zero suits traders who make small, even gains almost every day. It does not suit anyone whose month depends on one big day.

If Zero breaches, FundingPips offers a 20% reset within 7 days, including after an inactivity breach. Forex leverage is 1:50 and commission is $7 per lot on forex and metals, against $5 on the evaluation models. Full rules are on the FundingPips Zero help page. To compare Zero with other instant accounts, see the best instant funding prop firms.

FundingPips payouts and reward cycles

FundingPips calls payouts "rewards." You pick the reward cycle when the Master Account starts, and the choice decides your split. The minimum request is 1% of the account size, or 2% on On Demand.

ModelCycleSplitCondition
2 Step StandardWeekly60%7 days after first Master trade
2 Step StandardBi-weekly80%Every 14 days
2 Step StandardOn Demand90%35% consistency score, 2% minimum
1 Step FlexBi-weekly85%Every 14 days
2 Step FlexBi-weekly85% or 95%95% needs 3 profitable days of 0.5%+ per cycle, split locked at purchase
2 Step ProWeekly80%Every 7 days
All four evaluation modelsMonthly100%Every 30 days. Bought on or after Aug 15, 2026: 35% consistency, 7 profitable days of 0.5%+, 1% strike trigger
ZeroBi-weekly95%All four Zero conditions above

The Monthly 100% split costs more than it looks. On a $100K account, it needs 7 days that each close $500 up and a best day under 35% of total profit. It also puts even 2 Step Flex and 2 Step Pro under the Striking System at a 1% trigger. A trader who takes 80% bi-weekly on 2 Step Standard avoids all three conditions.

On 2 Step Flex, the 95% split and the 85% split cost the same. The 95% option trades 10 points of split for 3 profitable days in every cycle, which is easy for daily traders and hard for swing traders who close 2 or 3 trades a fortnight.

Card, Rise, crypto and Tradin appear as reward methods on FundingPips' rewards page. A reward cycle stays open until you request it, so missing the date does not cost you the payout. FundingPips says evaluation fees are service fees and are non-refundable once paid, except where the law requires a refund.

Platforms, leverage and commission

FundingPips supports MetaTrader 5, cTrader and Match-Trader. The Swap-Free add-on is MT5 only and covers forex and metals. [verify: country limits per platform. As of our last check, MT5 was closed to US and Canada residents, cTrader to US residents, and Match-Trader open to both.]

Since March 16, 2026, Master Accounts on the evaluation models use dynamic leverage on metals, indices and energies. The first 0.05 lots get 1:50, and anything above 0.50 lots drops to 1:5. Margin climbs quickly on large gold positions, so size down before you move from evaluation to Master. Every trade is capped at 20 lots per click, and crypto at 1 lot.

  • Static max loss on all four evaluation models, and no time limit.
  • 2 Step Pro and Zero go up to $200K.
  • Three platforms: MT5, cTrader and Match-Trader.

  • Weekend trades are closed on every Master Account. On Zero, holding is a breach.
  • The Monthly 100% split now carries three extra conditions.
  • News rules now follow FundingPips' own calendar, which includes speeches.
  • Zero stacks 10 rules, including a 1% max open risk.
  • Device ID (CID) terminations are a repeated Trustpilot complaint.
Best forDay traders who close most positions the same day, take small even gains, and want a low-cost 2-step or 1-step evaluation.
Avoid ifYou swing trade over weekends, scale into losers, trade the news once funded, or make most of your month on one big day.

Is FundingPips legit?

FundingPips is a legitimate, active prop firm with published rules, named company entities and one of the largest review bases in the industry. As of September 24, 2026, FundingPips holds a 4.5 TrustScore from 69,247 reviews on Trustpilot. 82% are 5-star and 8% are 1-star, and FundingPips replies to 97% of negative reviews.

FundingPips says it has paid more than $300 million in rewards to over 3 million traders. That is the firm's own figure. FundedTrading has not verified it independently.

What traders complain about

Two complaint patterns stand out in September 2026 Trustpilot reviews. The first is account closures for Device ID (CID) matches with other users, where traders say FundingPips shared little evidence. One reviewer linked a CID match to a trade copier used across their own accounts. The second is the move from Forex Factory to FundingPips' own calendar. Several traders say speeches they did not expect were flagged as restricted, and that the change was not announced. FundedTrading could not verify each case. The pattern tells you which rules to check before each trade: do not share devices, a VPS or copier setup with other traders, and read the dashboard calendar every day.

Final verdict

FundingPips is still a low-cost way into a CFD evaluation in 2026, from $29 on a $5K 2 Step Pro, and the static drawdown on all four evaluation models is fair. The risk sits after you pass. The Striking System, the 60% concentration rule and the new news calendar all hit Master Accounts, not evaluations.

For most traders, 2 Step Standard on the 80% bi-weekly cycle is the cleanest choice. It has the widest daily limit at 5%, no consistency score, and no Striking System at $25K and below. Pick Zero only if you already trade small, even days and never hold over a weekend.

FundingPips FAQ

Is FundingPips legit?

Yes. FundingPips is an active prop firm with published rules, named entities in the Comoros Union, Dubai and Cyprus, and a 4.5 TrustScore from 69,247 Trustpilot reviews as of September 24, 2026. The main complaints are Device ID closures and news calendar flags on Master Accounts.

What are the FundingPips Zero account rules?

FundingPips Zero has a 3% daily loss, a 5% trailing max loss that locks at breakeven after 5% profit, a 1% max open risk, and a 2% or 3% per-idea cap. News trading and weekend holds are hard breaches. Payouts need 7 profitable days per 30, a 15% consistency score and a 3% cushion.

What is the FundingPips Striking System?

The FundingPips Striking System records a warning when one trade idea floats 1% or 1.2% red on a Master Account. The first strike deducts that idea's profit, the second halves the split, the third cuts it to 20%, and the fourth closes the account. Strikes never reset.

Can you hold trades over the weekend with FundingPips?

In evaluations, yes. On Master Accounts for the four evaluation models, FundingPips closes open trades before the weekend without a breach, but the day does not count as a trading day. On FundingPips Zero, holding any position into the weekend is a hard breach.

What news rule does FundingPips use in 2026?

FundingPips uses the Economic Calendar on its dashboard, not Forex Factory. On Master Accounts, profit is deducted from trades opened or closed 5 minutes either side of high-impact news, or 10 minutes either side of a speech. On Zero, trading inside a 10-minute window is a hard breach.

What does the 95% bi-weekly split on 2 Step Flex require?

The 95% bi-weekly split on FundingPips 2 Step Flex requires 3 profitable days in each evaluation phase and 3 in every 14-day reward cycle. A profitable day closes at least 0.5% of the starting balance up. The split is chosen at purchase and costs the same as the 85% option.

Is FundingPips an A-book prop firm?

No. FundingPips says all its accounts are demo accounts in a simulated trading environment and no trades are executed on live markets. There is no broker routing trades to a liquidity provider. Rewards are paid by FundingPips based on simulated results.

Does FundingPips refund the challenge fee?

FundingPips says evaluation fees are service fees and are non-refundable once paid, except where the law requires a refund. If you breach, FundingPips offers a discounted reset within 7 days instead: 15% off Phase 1, 10% off Phase 2, 7% off a Master Account, and 20% off Zero.

Who owns FundingPips?

FundingPips is led by CEO Khaled Ayesh. The simulated trading service is provided by FundingPips Corp, registered in the Comoros Union, with a registered office in Dubai. FundingPips Services Ltd in Cyprus handles admin support.
