Add Ons are optional features or upgrades that traders can purchase when joining a prop firm evaluation or managing an active account. These extras are designed to enhance the trading experience by providing more flexibility, reduced restrictions, or additional tools that support specific strategies. Each prop firm offers its own set of add ons, which may include rule adjustments, extended time, or account protections. Traders choose add ons based on their needs and trading style. While add ons do not guarantee success, they can make the evaluation process more comfortable and less restrictive for traders who prefer extra breathing room.

Why Add Ons Matter in Prop Trading

Add ons give traders the ability to customize their evaluation account. Some traders benefit from relaxed rules, while others want access to additional analytics or risk management tools. Since every evaluation has limits and requirements, add ons can help reduce the pressure that often leads to mistakes. They also allow traders to tailor the challenge to fit their approach. For example, an extension add on gives more time to reach the profit target, while an account reset add on lets the trader restart the challenge without purchasing a new account. By choosing the right add ons, traders can plan more effectively and trade with more confidence.

Example of Add Ons

A trader purchases a 100000 evaluation account and selects a Time Extension add on. This gives them extra days to reach the profit target without being forced to finish within the standard period. Another trader may choose a Drawdown Buffer add on, which increases the allowable loss before violating the evaluation rules.
