Funding Traders Review 2026

Quick verdict: Funding Traders is a real paying prop firm with a genuinely unusual payout guarantee — 48 business hours or they owe you $1,000. The Instant Funded option lets experienced traders skip the challenge entirely. The main thing that catches people is the 1% max risk per trade on Instant Funded accounts. Read the rules before you buy. Use code FundedTrading for 50% off any challenge.

What Is Funding Traders?

Funding Traders is a proprietary trading firm that launched in April 2023. It is registered as FT US Inc at 901 Pennsylvania Avenue, Suite 3-440, Miami Beach, FL 33139. The firm lets traders access capital in exchange for passing a simulated evaluation or skipping one entirely with the Instant Funded option.

The firm has funded over 53,000 accounts as of mid-2026 and claims total payouts above $4.7 million. It trades on MetaTrader 5 and TradeLocker. Payouts go through USDT ERC-20 crypto or Rise bank transfer. The headline product is the 48-hour payout guarantee — miss the window and the firm pays you $500 in cash plus $500 in account credit.

Company entity FT US Inc — Miami Beach, FL 33139, United States
Founded April 2023
Accounts funded 53,000+ as of July 2026
Max account size $400,000 (Instant Funded)
Platforms MetaTrader 5 and TradeLocker
Payout methods USDT ERC-20 (min $50) and Rise (min $200)
Track record note: Funding Traders launched in 2023. It does not have the multi-year track record of firms like FTMO (2015) or The5ers (2016). That is a legitimate consideration. The payout guarantee with a financial penalty is partly designed to offset that trust gap.

Account Types and Pricing

Funding Traders has four live account types. Two require passing a challenge (2-Step Pro6 and 2-Step Pro10), one is a single-phase evaluation (1-Step Pro), and one skips evaluation entirely (Instant Funded). The key differences are drawdown limits, consistency rules, news trading rules, and the risk per trade cap.

Instant Funded

The Instant Funded account gives you immediate capital with no challenge to pass. You pay a one-time fee and start trading the same day. The trade-off is a tighter rulebook: 1% max risk per trade, no news trading, a 15% daily consistency cap, and a 3% non-withdrawable safety cushion that must remain in the account for your first payout cycle.

Account sizes range from $10,000 to $400,000. Regular prices before any discount run from $159 to $2,349. The $25,000 and $200,000 sizes have refundable fees; other sizes do not. With code FundedTrading, you get 50% off at checkout.

Instant Funded key risk: The 1% max risk per position is the most common reason accounts get closed on this plan. A 1% risk cap on a $100K account means no single position can float more than $1,000 in loss at any moment. Traders used to 2% risk models will find this tighter than expected.

2-Step Pro10

The Pro10 challenge runs a 10% profit target in Phase 1 and a 5% target in Phase 2. The max drawdown is 10% and the daily loss limit is 5%. You need at least 4 trading days in each phase. The funded account gives you a 2% max risk per trade, news trading with restrictions (no trades within 2 minutes of high-impact events and max 30% profits from news trades), and no consistency score. The evaluation fee is refunded with your first payout. Account sizes go from $5,000 to $200,000.

2-Step Pro6

The Pro6 challenge targets 6% in both phases with a 3% daily loss and 6% max drawdown. The rules on the funded account are the same as Pro10. The main difference is that the targets are easier to hit, but the drawdown room is tighter (6% vs 10%). Pro6 fees are lower than Pro10 for the same account size. Account sizes go from $5,000 to $200,000.

1-Step Pro

A single-phase evaluation with a 10% profit target, 3% daily loss limit, and 10% max drawdown. You need 4 trading days. The funded account applies a 50% consistency score — no single day can exceed 50% of total profits. The base profit split is 90%. Fees are refunded with your first payout. Account sizes go from $5,000 to $200,000.

Pricing with Code FundedTrading

The table below shows regular prices across account types. Apply code FundedTrading at checkout for 50% off these figures.

Account Size Instant Funded 2-Step Pro6 2-Step Pro10 1-Step Pro
$5,000 N/A $39 $59 $49
$10,000 $159 $59 $99 $90
$25,000 $289 $119 $199 $199
$50,000 $449 $229 $299 $299
$100,000 $679 $419 $539 $539
$200,000 $1,349 $799 $999 $999
$400,000 $2,349 N/A N/A N/A

Prices above are regular rates before the FundedTrading code. At 50% off, a $100K Instant Funded account drops from $679 to approximately $340. A $100K 2-Step Pro10 drops from $539 to approximately $270.

Add-Ons

Funding Traders sells optional add-ons at checkout. The Double-Up add-on doubles your capital allocation. The On-Demand Payout add-on lets you request payouts at any time rather than waiting for the fixed cycle. You can also upgrade the profit split to 90% or 100% for an additional fee.

Trading Rules

The rules at Funding Traders vary by account type. Reading them before you buy is not optional. Most negative reviews trace to specific rule violations, particularly the risk per trade cap and the news trading restrictions on funded accounts.

Risk Per Trade (Most Important Rule)

On Instant Funded accounts, the maximum floating loss on any single position at any moment is 1% of the initial account balance. On a $100K account, that means no trade can show more than $1,000 in open loss. On 2-Step Pro6, Pro10, and 1-Step Pro accounts, the cap is 2% — but only on the funded account, not during the challenge phase.

This is the top breach reason: Traders who come from firms using percentage-of-equity sizing (rather than percentage-of-initial-balance) often misapply this rule. The 1% is calculated against the starting balance, not your current equity.

Daily Loss Limit

The daily loss limit is calculated on end-of-day balance. On Instant Funded and 2-Step Pro6 and 1-Step Pro accounts, the daily cap is 3%. On 2-Step Pro10 accounts, it is 5%. Exceeding the daily limit triggers an account breach.

Maximum Drawdown

The max drawdown is 6% on Instant Funded and Pro6 accounts and 10% on Pro10 and 1-Step Pro accounts. This is calculated as a static drawdown from the initial balance, not a trailing high-water mark. That is less restrictive than trailing drawdown firms.

News Trading

The rules split by account type here.

On Instant Funded accounts: news trading is a hard breach. You cannot open, close, or hold any position within the restricted window around high-impact news events. The window is defined in the firm’s help center.

On 2-Step and 1-Step challenge accounts: news trading is unrestricted during the evaluation phase.

On 2-Step and 1-Step funded accounts: you cannot open or close trades within 2 minutes before or after a scheduled high-impact event. No more than 30% of your total profits can come from news-influenced trades. If you are a swing trader who holds positions through releases, check your trade log against this rule before requesting a payout.

Consistency Score

On Instant Funded accounts, no single day can account for more than 15% of your total profits. On 1-Step Pro funded accounts, the cap is 50%. On 2-Step Pro6 and Pro10 accounts, there is no consistency score requirement. Exceeding the cap does not close your account. You keep trading until the ratio corrects itself.

Overnight and Weekend Holding

Allowed on all account types. Funding Traders does not require you to close positions before the weekend.

Expert Advisors and Automated Trading

EAs are allowed on MT5. High-frequency trading, martingale systems, and arbitrage are prohibited across all account types.

Copy Trading

You can manually copy your own trades across your own Funding Traders accounts. Copying trades to or from another trader’s account — manually or through signals — is a breach that results in all your accounts being closed. Software-based copy trading between Instant Funded accounts is also not allowed.

Minimum Trading Days

Instant Funded accounts have no minimum trading day requirement. All evaluation-based accounts (Pro6, Pro10, 1-Step) require at least 4 trading days per phase before you can pass.

Reset and Revive

If you fail Phase 1 of a challenge, you can reset to Phase 1 for 50% of the original fee instead of buying a new account. Resetting from a failed Phase 2 costs 150% of the original fee. The firm also offers a Revive feature for funded accounts that have been breached.

Platforms

Funding Traders runs on MetaTrader 5 and TradeLocker. Both are available for all account types. You choose your platform at checkout and can use it for both the challenge and the funded account.

MetaTrader 5

MT5 is the main platform at Funding Traders and the more established of the two. It supports Expert Advisors, advanced order types, and a large library of custom indicators. MT5 runs on Windows desktop, Mac (via wrapper), iOS, and Android. Funding Traders won a Best MetaTrader 5 Prop Firm award in 2025. MT5 is not available for US residents at some brokers, but Funding Traders does not restrict US traders from using MT5 on their platform.

TradeLocker

TradeLocker is a newer platform with a browser-based interface and a mobile app. It does not require a download and works on any device with a modern browser. It supports one-click trading, real-time charts, and multi-device sync. TradeLocker does not support EAs.

MetaTrader 5 Desktop, iOS, Android. EA support. Best for algorithmic traders and MT4 migrants.
TradeLocker Browser-based and mobile. No download. No EA support. Best for discretionary traders who want clean UX.
Platform switch note: Funding Traders allows platform switches only on untraded accounts as a standard policy. Once you have placed a trade, switching platforms requires a special request.

FT Intel

Funding Traders also offers an AI-powered institutional intelligence tool called FT Intel. It gives access to real-time institutional order positioning, COT bias data, and smart money reports. This is a trading resource, not part of the evaluation itself. Access is through the dashboard after registering.

Payouts and the Payout Guarantee

Funding Traders processes payouts via USDT ERC-20 crypto and Rise bank transfer. Crypto withdrawals have a $50 minimum. Rise withdrawals have a $200 minimum. The firm does not charge payout fees on its end. Any blockchain gas fees or Rise processing fees are separate.

Payout Schedule

Instant Funded accounts can request a payout every 14 days after the first funded trade. Evaluation-based accounts (2-Step Pro6, Pro10, 1-Step Pro) default to a 21-day payout cycle. A 14-day cycle is available as a paid add-on at checkout.

The 48-Hour Payout Guarantee

This is the most distinctive feature Funding Traders offers. The firm commits to processing approved payout requests within 48 business hours. If that window is missed, the firm pays you $500 in cash and $500 in account credit — a total of $1,000 out of pocket.

The guarantee applies once the payout request is compliant: all rules met, minimum profit threshold reached, and the payout button activated correctly in the dashboard. If any compliance condition is not met, the 48-hour clock does not start.

Crypto payout (USDT ERC-20) Minimum $50. Wallet address required at withdrawal. Evaluation fee refund also paid in USDT for traders who paid in crypto.
Rise bank transfer Minimum $200. Rise is a global payment platform that supports local bank transfer to 100+ countries. No crypto wallet needed.

Evaluation Fee Refund

On most evaluation-based accounts, the challenge fee is refunded with your first funded account payout. On Instant Funded accounts, only certain sizes ($25K and $200K as of July 2026) carry a refundable fee. Check the product page at checkout for the current refund status on the size you are buying.

First Payout Restrictions on Instant Funded

On Instant Funded accounts, the first 3% of profits is non-withdrawable and must remain as a safety cushion. You can also not request a payout if the account shows a loss within 48 hours of the request.

Important for Instant Funded traders: The 3% non-withdrawable cushion means your first payout request must show more than 3% net profit. The payout request button in your dashboard will reflect this correctly.

Funding Traders vs FundingPips

FundingPips has a much larger review base (43,000+ Trustpilot reviews) and a higher score (4.5/5). It also accepts more account sizes and supports cTrader in addition to MT5 and TradeLocker. Funding Traders wins on one thing FundingPips does not offer at all: the 48-hour payout guarantee. If payout speed and accountability are your main concerns, Funding Traders has the more binding commitment. If review volume and established track record matter more, FundingPips has the edge. See our FundingPips review for the full breakdown.

Funding Traders vs FundedNext

FundedNext has 56,000+ Trustpilot reviews and a 4.5/5 score — more volume and a higher rating than Funding Traders. Both firms offer an instant funded option. The key difference is account size: Funding Traders goes up to $400K on the Instant Funded plan. FundedNext’s standard instant accounts cap lower. Funding Traders also offers the payout guarantee. If you want bigger capital and a payout safety net, Funding Traders is worth considering. If you want a more established firm with more public reviews, FundedNext has the track record edge.

Funding Traders vs FTMO

FTMO is the most established firm in this comparison, with an 11-year track record and a 4.8/5 Trustpilot score from 37,000+ reviews. It does not accept US traders and does not offer an instant funded option. Funding Traders accepts US traders and has the Instant Funded plan. If you are a US-based trader or want to skip the evaluation, FTMO is not an option. If you want the deepest reputation and trust signals in the industry, FTMO wins. See our best prop firms comparison for the wider view.

Is Funding Traders Legit?

Funding Traders is a legitimate prop firm that does pay out traders who follow the rules. It is registered as FT US Inc in Miami Beach, Florida. It has funded over 53,000 accounts and has a live public payout tracker on its website where every payout is listed with name, amount, country, and account type.

On Trustpilot, it carries 3,400+ reviews with a bimodal distribution: 72% five-star, 19% one-star. That split is common in the prop trading industry. Traders who follow the rules and get paid leave five stars. Traders who get accounts closed for rule violations leave one star. What distinguishes Funding Traders from more problematic firms is how it responds — it replies to nearly every negative review with the specific ticket number, the exact rule that was broken, and the documented evidence. That level of public accountability is not consistent with a firm that is arbitrarily refusing payouts.

The most common patterns in negative reviews are: accounts closed for violating the 1% risk per trade cap on Instant Funded, accounts denied payouts for news-trading violations on funded accounts, and accounts flagged for copy trading or correlated IP patterns. In most cases, the firm’s public response includes verifiable data from its risk team.

Two genuine concerns worth acknowledging: the firm launched in 2023, so it does not have the multi-year track record of more established firms. And the bimodal review pattern means one in five reviewers had a bad enough experience to leave the lowest possible rating. That is not unusual in prop trading, but it is worth reading specific complaint threads before committing to a large account.

The 48-hour payout guarantee with a $1,000 financial penalty is the strongest trust signal the firm offers. A firm that does not pay would not create a contractual penalty for missing its own payout window.

Trust signals FT US Inc registration (Miami Beach, FL). Live payout tracker. 48-hr guarantee with $1,000 penalty. Public Trustpilot responses with ticket numbers.
Risk factors Founded 2023 — limited track record. 19% one-star Trustpilot rate. Strict risk rules that catch traders who do not read the fine print.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is Funding Traders legit?

Yes. Funding Traders is a legitimate prop firm registered as FT US Inc in Miami Beach, Florida. It has funded over 53,000 accounts since launching in 2023 and carries 3,400+ Trustpilot reviews. Negative reviews on Trustpilot mostly trace to specific rule violations rather than arbitrary refusals. The firm responds to complaints publicly with ticket numbers and documented facts.

How fast are Funding Traders payouts?

Funding Traders guarantees payouts within 48 business hours. If the firm misses that window, you get $500 in cash and $500 in account credit. Most traders report receiving payouts in under 24 hours. Instant Funded accounts can request payouts every 14 days. Evaluation accounts default to a 21-day cycle with a 14-day add-on available.

Does Funding Traders allow news trading?

It depends on the account type. On Instant Funded accounts, news trading is a hard breach — you cannot open, close, or hold positions around high-impact news events. On 1-Step, 2-Step Pro6, and 2-Step Pro10 challenge accounts, news trading is unrestricted. On the funded stage of those same accounts, you cannot open or close trades within 2 minutes of a high-impact event, and no more than 30% of total profits can come from news-influenced trades.

What is the Funding Traders consistency score?

The consistency score limits how much of your total profit can come from a single trading day. On Instant Funded accounts, no single day can account for more than 15% of total profits. On 1-Step Pro funded accounts, the cap is 50%. On 2-Step Pro6 and Pro10 accounts, there is no consistency score. Exceeding the threshold does not breach your account — you simply keep trading until the ratio drops back within the limit.

Can US traders use Funding Traders?

Yes. US traders can use Funding Traders on both MT5 and TradeLocker under the same rules as international traders. The firm is registered in Miami Beach, Florida, and does not list the US as a restricted jurisdiction.

What platforms does Funding Traders support?

Funding Traders supports MetaTrader 5 and TradeLocker. Both are available for all account types. MT5 supports Expert Advisors. TradeLocker offers a browser-based and mobile interface that requires no download. You choose your platform at checkout.

What happens if the 48-hour payout guarantee is missed?

If Funding Traders fails to process your payout within 48 business hours, you receive $500 in cash and $500 in account credit, totalling $1,000. The guarantee applies once your payout request is fully compliant and approved.

What is the difference between Instant Funded and evaluation accounts?

Instant Funded accounts give you immediate capital with no challenge. The trade-off is tighter rules: 1% max risk per trade, no news trading, a 15% consistency score, and a 3% non-withdrawable safety cushion on profits. Evaluation accounts (1-Step, 2-Step Pro6, 2-Step Pro10) require you to hit a profit target first, but come with less restrictive funded rules: news trading allowed with restrictions, 2% risk per trade on funded accounts, and no consistency score on 2-Step accounts.

How do I withdraw from Funding Traders?

Go to the Payouts tab in your Funding Traders dashboard, select your account, and choose your withdrawal method. Two options are available: USDT ERC-20 crypto with a $50 minimum, or bank transfer via Rise with a $200 minimum. Funding Traders does not charge payout fees on its end.
