What Is Liberty Market Investment?
Liberty Market Investment is a futures prop firm run by Liberty Market Investment Ltd, a UK company registered in Ipswich, England (Companies House no. 12254047, incorporated 10 October 2019). Liberty Market Investment offers a one-step evaluation called the Qualifying Session and a Direct Funded account with no evaluation. Liberty Market Investment uses the VolFix platform only.
This review covers the three Liberty Market Investment plans, every risk rule, the payout conditions, and how Liberty Market Investment compares with other prop firms in our directory. Liberty Market Investment also goes by LMI on its site at lmitrade.com. Liberty Market Investment states on its website that it is not a broker and does not accept deposits. Traders pay a subscription or a one-time fee and trade a simulated account.
Liberty Market Investment calls the evaluation a "session". The Qualifying Session is the challenge. The Funded Session is the funded account. You need to pass one stage to reach the Funded Session.
Liberty Market Investment Plans and Prices (October 2026)
Liberty Market Investment sells three plans in six sizes from $10,000 to $300,000. Standard and No Activation Fee are monthly subscriptions for the Qualifying Session. Direct Funded is a one-time fee that skips the evaluation. As of 29 October 2026, Liberty Market Investment lists these prices. The second figure is the price with the 20% discount that runs until 8 November 2026.
Standard plan (subscription plus activation fee)
| Account | Monthly subscription | Activation fee | Restart |
|---|---|---|---|
| Mini $10K | $40 (15 days) | $0 | $30 |

| Medium $50K | $56 ($45) | $129 | $39 |

| Medium $50K | $81 ($65) | $0 | $55 |
| Large $100K | $150 ($120) | $0 | $89 |
| Max $150K | $211 ($169) | $0 | $99 |
| Extra $300K | $311 ($249) | $0 | $149 |
Direct Funded plan (one-time fee)

| Max $150K | $730 | $584 | 20% |
| Extra $300K | $1,000 | $800 | 20% |
Liberty Market Investment bills the Standard and No Activation Fee plans every 30 days (15 days on the Mini) during the Qualifying Session. A restart resets the account but does not extend the subscription. The Standard plan has a lower monthly price and an activation fee after passing. The No Activation Fee plan has a higher monthly price and no fee after passing. The Direct Funded plan is a single payment with no subscription.
Liberty Market Investment also offers a free 14-day Qualifying Session trial. The trial gives traders access to VolFix and the Liberty Market Investment rules before buying a plan.
Liberty Market Investment Drawdown and Risk Rules
Liberty Market Investment uses an end-of-day trailing drawdown, a Daily Pause, a minimum of 2 trading days, and a consistency rule in the Qualifying Session. Liberty Market Investment sets the profit target at $700 on the $10K account and $20,000 on the $300K account. The same drawdown and Daily Pause carry into the Funded Session.
| Account | Profit target | Max trailing drawdown (EOD) | Daily Pause | Max contracts |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| $10K | $700 | $450 | $250 | 1 |
| $30K | $1,500 | $1,000 | $750 | 3 |
| $50K | $3,000 | $2,000 | $1,000 | 5 |
| $100K | $6,000 | $3,000 | $1,500 | 10 |
| $150K | $9,000 | $4,500 | $2,500 | 15 |
| $300K | $20,000 | $6,500 | $3,500 | 30 |
How the Liberty Market Investment trailing drawdown works
Liberty Market Investment checks the Max Trailing Drawdown in real time but moves it only at the end of the day. The floor equals your highest closing balance minus the drawdown amount. On the $100K account, a close at $102,000 lifts the floor to $99,000. The floor stops moving once it reaches the starting balance, at $103,000 and above on the $100K account.
Because the floor moves only at the close, intraday swings do not change it. A trade that goes against the trader and recovers before the close leaves the floor where it was. A profitable close raises the floor by the same amount, up to the starting balance. The drawdown ranges from 4.5% of the account on the $10K size to 2.2% on the $300K size. See our prop firm glossary for EOD and intraday drawdown terms.
What the Daily Pause does
The Daily Pause is the Liberty Market Investment daily loss limit. When the day's loss hits it, Liberty Market Investment closes all positions and locks the account until the next trading day. The Daily Pause is enforced automatically on the platform. Liberty Market Investment also lists the Daily Pause among the session rules, and support can confirm how it applies to each plan.
The Qualifying Session consistency rule
Liberty Market Investment caps the best trading day at 51% of the profit target (52% on the $10K account). If one day goes above that share, Liberty Market Investment recalculates the profit target instead of failing the account. On the $50K account the cap is $1,530. The trader keeps trading until the best day is back within 51% of the new target.
The Funded Session scaling plan
In the Funded Session, Liberty Market Investment sets Max Contracts and the Daily Pause through a scaling plan tied to end-of-day net P&L. On the $50K account, a funded trader starts at 2 contracts and a $1,000 Daily Pause. The limit rises to 5 contracts at $3,000 in profit, and the Daily Pause rises to $3,000 at $6,000 in profit. Liberty Market Investment recalculates both at each end-of-day clearing.
Liberty Market Investment Payout Requirements
Liberty Market Investment requires 5 qualifying trading days, a minimum daily profit on each of those days, a Safety Net balance, and a 50% consistency rule before any payout. Liberty Market Investment also sets a maximum amount for each payout based on the payout number.
| Account | Min daily profit per qualifying day | Safety Net | Min balance to request |
|---|---|---|---|
| $10K | $50 | $550 | $800 above start |
| $30K | $100 | $1,100 | $1,350 above start |
| $50K | $250 | $2,100 | $2,350 above start |
| $100K | $300 | $3,100 | $3,350 above start |
| $150K | $350 | $4,600 | $4,850 above start |
| $300K | $450 | $6,600 | $6,850 above start |
Liberty Market Investment funded accounts start at a $0 balance, so the table figures are profit. The Safety Net is the drawdown plus $100, and only profit above it can be withdrawn. On the $50K account, a funded trader can request the first $250 payout once the account reaches $2,350 in profit.
Per-payout caps
| Payout # | $10K | $30K | $50K | $100K | $150K | $300K |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | $500 | $1,000 | $1,500 | $2,000 | $2,500 | $2,500 |
| 2 | $500 | $1,000 | $1,500 | $2,500 | $3,000 | $3,000 |
| 3 | $500 | $1,000 | $2,000 | $2,500 | $3,000 | $3,000 |
| 4 | $500 | $1,000 | $2,500 | $3,000 | $3,000 | $3,500 |
| 5+ | $1,000 | $1,000 | $2,500 | $4,000 | $4,000 | $4,500 |
The maximum per payout rises with the payout number, from payout 1 to payout 5. Liberty Market Investment does not limit the number of payouts, so profit above each cap remains available for the next request.
The 50% payout consistency rule
Liberty Market Investment opens the payout request option when no single profitable day makes up 50% or more of the profit since the last payout. Direct Funded accounts use a 20% threshold. Under the 20% threshold, the best day can be up to one fifth of the profit for that payout cycle.
The 7:1 risk-reward rule
The Liberty Market Investment Funded Session Rules page (updated 10 October 2026) and the payout requirements page list the current funded conditions shown above. The Liberty Market Investment help center also has a 7:1 Risk-Reward Ratio Rule article, which compares a trade's open drawdown with its final result. In a May 2026 Trustpilot reply, Liberty Market Investment stated that the 7:1 rule is no longer in use.
Liberty Market Investment Profit Split and Payouts
Liberty Market Investment pays traders 100% of withdrawals up to a total of $30,000, then 90%. Liberty Market Investment processes payout requests every Monday and Thursday, with a $250 minimum per request. Traders in the same household share one profit split.
The 100% split covers the first $30,000 across all your withdrawals, not per account. Funded Session traders also pay commissions and exchange data fees. Liberty Market Investment lists a $4 round-turn commission on E-mini S&P 500 (ES) and $0.94 on Micro E-mini S&P 500 (MES). These costs are deducted from trading P&L before the profit split applies. Full payout rules sit on the Liberty Market Investment withdrawal page.
Trustpilot reviews posted in October 2026 report processed payouts from Liberty Market Investment.
VolFix and the Futures You Can Trade
Liberty Market Investment uses VolFix as its only platform and gives traders free access during the evaluation. Liberty Market Investment does not support NinjaTrader, Tradovate, Rithmic, or TradingView. VolFix includes order flow and volume tools, a mobile app, Market Replay for backtesting, and the LMI Trade Report module for statistics and payout requests.
